Language Therapy
Language refers to the way information is understood and conveyed to others. Have you been wondering why your little one displays emotions by yelling, crying or throwing themselves to the floor? They may be frustrated due to not being able to communicate in a way you can understand. You may also notice difficulty following directions, difficulty communicating wants/needs, trouble formulating sentences, naming items or understanding concepts. Language therapy targets improving functional communication through naturalistic learning and neurodiversity affirming practices. Play-based therapy approaches provide supportive environments to allow the growth and exploration of language concepts. We utilize all forms of communication and tailor methods to the communication method the family chooses, high or low tech AAC, verbal, signs.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapy focuses on the improvement of sound errors when speaking. Articulation errors can include lisps, mispronunciation of groups of sounds, omission of sounds in words or imprecise production of sounds. Placement of speech sounds is just as important as how they sound. Incorrect placement can lead to compensations which could affect overall growth and development of the teeth, jaws and dentition.
